High efficiency condensing boilers use less gas to produce the same amount of heat as basic standard efficiency boilers. They do this by recovering heat, which would normally be lost.
With different outputs and hot water flow rates they can be incorporated into any type of property.
All Worcester condensing boilers which we use are rated SEDBUK Band "A" the highest band achievable.
They are over 90% efficient, which in simple terms means that over 90% of used gas is converted into heat. There is very little energy wastage, so it requires less fuel to produce the heat you require, resulting in more economical running costs.
By comparison, many older boilers throughout the UK operate at as low as 50% efficiently therefore 50 pence in every pound is wasted. Even the many older combination boilers which achieve 70-75% efficiency still waste a quarter of the fuel they consume.
This is why it makes such good sense to replace an old boiler with a new high efficiency condensing boiler.

If you decide to have a new Worcester system boiler installed it is worth baring in mind this type of boiler can be complimented by a Worcester Greenskies solar hot water heating system. This could provide up to 70% of your annual hot water requirements from a sustainable and free source of energy.
Even if the idea of installing solar panels is something for the future, you could prepare for it now by installing your new boiler with a twin coil cylinder. This would just leave the later installation of the Greenskies solar pack to complete the system, thus spreading the cost.
